Fallout Ini Read Only
Every time I click on properties in a file then turn read only off it just turns back on. Nexus mod manager will ask you if you want to change a file attribute to be able to access the file to make changes for mods that make ini changes. Click yes and install your mod. Watch the tutorials in the link given from Gopher.

- Fallout ini continually reset to read-only - posted in New Vegas Technical Support: Hello all, I'm rebuilding my New Vegas game after an OS reinstall, and something keeps resetting my Fallout ini to be read-only, which creates the problem that anything that wants to edit it, of course, can't.like the modifications I need to do to the fonts so that Darn UI works, for example.
Ok so I had troubles with mouse lag, recently introduced after installing the newest Nvidia drivers (260.99).1. So I changed óff vsync in the Iauncher. Just that didn'capital t actually convert off vsync.2. So I proceeded to go into the faIlout.ini (after heading into the qualities for the file and unchecking thé read-only box) and transformed 'iPresentInterval=1' to 'iPresentInterval=0'. But when I after that ran the Iauncher and ran thé game, vsync has been back.
Therefore now I start the launcher, create the fallout.ini not read-only, modify the.ini, savé it, and go back again to the launcher and run the sport. If I don't, the game will take it upon itself to modify 'iPresentInterval=0' back again to 'iPresentInterval=1'.You understand what? Getting to perform this irritates me. Getting the vsync option in video games at all irritates me.
Fallout 3 No Ini File
Only noobs who put on't understand their mouse is lagging and their body rate will be becoming capped want vsync on. Serious gamers turn this junk off immediately.Anyway, sorry for the rant but will anyone have got a much better remedy than 3.?Articles: 3307 Joined: Sun Jul 02, 2006 2:26 pm. Before performing this back again up your unchanged default.ini. Usually if you screw that one up, you will end up being reinstalling,I'm not sure why everyone recommends screwing with thé default ini still anyway. Since they turned off Vapor Cloud we've had no trouble with designing the FaIloutPrefs.ini in thé /Documents/My Video games/FalloutNV/ folder. That's i9000 the document the game utilizes. The read-only Results.ini in that folder can be simply a copy of the FaIloutdefault.ini in thé sport folder. You put on't want to edit either of those to make changes, simply FalloutPrefs.ini.Posts: 3297 Joined: Wed Aug 09, 2006 2:23 was.

Since they turned off Steam Cloud i've had no problems with customizing the FaIloutPrefs.ini in thé /Paperwork/My Games/FalloutNV/ folder. That'h the document the game uses. The read-only Fallout.ini in that folder is usually just a duplicate of the FaIloutdefault.ini in thé sport folder.
